“Your Voice, Your Choice” – Advance Care Planning
Friday, January 20, 2023 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at South Whatcom Library
This step-by-step workshop will walk medical participants through creating their own enhanced durable power of attorney for healthcare (DPOA-HC) so they can designate their Healthcare Agent (trusted decision-maker), express their wishes for medical treatment, and get this vital document scanned into their health record and on file at the hospital. This document is so essential for guiding care if a person is unable to speak for herself/himself. Our goal is to get this information to all community members over the age of 18 so they can make their plan. Please register WCLS.org under Events tab.

It’s Not too late! Holiday gifting AND support your South Whatcom Library!
Select the perfect gift from our well-loved, gently used books from the Friends of Whatcom County Library Online Bookstore. These wonderful Books, CDs and DVDs are purchased online and then picked up at South Whatcom Library, and the funds benefit our local library initiatives! You also can donate books that are in good condition to this initiative – just shoot us a message at frndsofswlibrary@gmail.com
